The date for the royal wedding is interesting. With a stellium in Aries and protesters threatening to let off flares! The handle of the bucket in the wedding chart is Saturn which is conjunct both Kate and Will's Mars in Libra (possibly Kate's apex of a T-Square but we don't know her birth time). We have a void of course Moon and Mercury still in it's shadow of retrograde. Not really the ideal date. When Obama was sworn in on similar Moon and Mercury positions some concern was raised by astrologers. Fortunately, he was sworn in again, a day or so later. It makes me wonder if Kate and Will might either declare their vows or renew them in a more private setting. I'm sure they will if they have a court astrologer to hand...
ReplyDeleteIt is very interesting that, at 11:16:41 in Westminster on Friday, Saturn is exactly on the IC and the MC at 12 Ari is cnj the Mars/Uranus midpoint. I made me reach for COSI to see what Ebertin had to say. Diana's presence may well be felt, stirring memories of the manner of her passing. However, by 11:51 the MC has moved to the Mars/Jupiter midpoint, which is much more cheerful.
ReplyDeleteTo Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteYou made a really interesting post. Can you please post again, but leave your name this time.
I've just done a bit on electional astrology for my course and it's interesting that the wedding significators for William and Kate are Mercury and Venus respectively and there they are in conjunction at the MC on the big day itself. William's natal ASC ruler is Jupiter and Kate's is Mars, and there they also are, in conjunction in the 10th. The Leo ascendant is auspicious because it's a fixed sign, and that's good for things you want to last, also is the sign of kings, so what could be better on a royal day like this!!
ReplyDeleteMy comments on the Royal Wedding and on William and Kate were included in an article for the Sunday Mirror (on the weekend following their engagement last year). Extracts from this article will appear in the next issue of the AA Journal. The date of the wedding is inauspicious. A Question (horary chart) about their future gives further confirmation. There may be issues surrounding children or pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteEven without the bride arriving in a royal coach – this will be a fairytale wedding. Neptune has just entered Pisces – so Hollywood, Disneyland… eat your heart out.. because this wedding has it all: history, pomp, ceremony, and location, location, location. The world wide interest will be intense and it will generate enough glamour, gossip and fluff to fill the newspapers for weeks, months, years………
ReplyDeleteThe watery Pisces Moon is unaspected – void of course if you like. Which considering the couple have been together for ten years already - might simply suggest that when the camera’s stop clicking – on the domestic front nothing much will change. A VOC moon, simply means nothing happens – that is – until it changes sign. Which it will do in this horoscope – and very quickly indeed. From September 2011 the progressed Moon will be contacting Uranus – a sudden event or upset? By August 2012 – the Moon is with Venus – ruler of wedding horoscope 4th house – this could signify birth or a change of address. Which ever way you look at it, with the progressed Moon moving so quickly into Aries, and with so many planets in the wedding horoscope in that sign, the first few years of their married life are going to be very fast moving and eventful.
Like his father before him, William is getting married with Sun trine to Pluto, which is empowering for him. It also rules the Ascendant, strengthening its influence. The Moon is the more interesting one. In these royal marriages, it is the one marrying in who has to do the adjusting, and in this case it is Kate. The Moon is in Pisces, it is Void, and it makes no aspects apart from a wide out-of-sign conjunction to Uranus. For the first time, the heir to the throne is marrying a ‘commoner’ – i.e. an outsider, and this is Uranus. The lack of aspects and voidness suggests to me that Kate will be in a sense on her own within a strange institution, and that her identity will be subsumed (Pisces) into the marriage and the family.
ReplyDeleteThis is not necessarily an unhappy destiny (albeit not a very interesting one) for Kate. She has Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Cancer (just like the UK Chart) so feels very comfortable being part of the conservative establishment. The North Node is also on her Sun-Moon axis, so she has something important to learn by being in this position.
BUT her Sun and Node, and possibly her Moon, are square to a Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Libra. A lot depends on how this square plays out. A straightforward reading is that she is fiercely aspirational and is willing to become disempowered in order to attain a high social position. This could also describe the Moon in Pisces of the marriage chart. It is, of course, all quite unconscious. I think this is what is actually happening because of her background and previous behaviour. She was brought up to be socially aspirational (her Dad created a family coat of arms, and Kate’s sister was at one point seeing the son of a Duke.) And she spent her twenties fiddling about, clearly seeing eventual marriage to William as the purpose of her life.
And the square in her chart could in theory do for her. She could remain a cipher for the rest of her life. Many women have. But we live in an age where it is no longer acceptable for women to be ciphers. Unless they are in the Royal Family. But Kate Middleton was not born into the Royal Family.
So I think the square from the Sun to Saturn-Pluto describes Kate eventually having to break free of the disempowering position in which she has put herself. And the Moon-Uranus of the marriage chart describes both the suffering (Pisces) this will put Kate through and the disruptive effect (Uranus) this will have.
It may not mean the end of the marriage. With Sun and Moon in 7th House Cancer, William is intensely, perhaps even suffocatingly, relationship and family oriented and would resist his family and marriage being broken up. Pluto will begin to conjoin Kate’s Sun in 4 to 5 years time, and will finish with squaring her Saturn-Pluto in about 11 years time. Also in 4 years time, her Progressed Venus will change direction, adding to the case for a shift in her marriage.
So I’d say that Kate will spend the early years of her marriage adapting to her new life and having children. After that, she will begin to change, to want to become more who she is, and this struggle will go on for 5 to 6 years – at the end of which Neptune will start to square Prince William’s Descendant, his relationship point, and will go on to square his Sun and Moon in the succeeding years. William will also have Prog Venus conjunct Node in about 11 years. So the outcome of Kate’s struggle for her own power will then lead to a period of major change for William. I’ve probably delved too far already into their personal lives, so I don’t think I’ll try and guess an outcome – whoops, I’m an astrologer, I meant predict! But you could say that in terms of changing the Royal Family, Kate will be taking up where Diana left off. And if she does stay, her Sun-Saturn-Pluto will eventually make her the real power within the Royal Family. With Neptune Rising and opposite Sun and Moon, William is able to become, for better or for worse, whatever those around him need him to be.
Significant features of the wedding chart are:
ReplyDeleteRuler of first Leo...a very regal sign for a very royal wedding.
Ruler of first, sun, nearing mc, another very royal event signification
Ruler of first , sun in trine with England's mc 1066 chart mc = 8 deg 37 Capricorn wedding wedding sun= 8deg51 Taurus...how timely is that for a royal event?
Ruler of first sun, trine England's sun at 9deg 54 mins Capricorn (1066)
Wedding Moon approaching Uranus....the masses and the media looking to an inspiring and uplifting event. This moon is about to conjunct natal moon at 28 deg Pisces, in the 1066 chart .
In 1066 the Moon is in exact square to natal Uranus, while for the wedding the moon is about to approach transitting Uranus to form a conjunction that will be square the natal moon in twelfth of overseas affairs, in the 1066 chart. A royal event that will be viewed across the globe in foreign lands, through the internet and other mass media.
Jupiter with Mars in perfect conjunction for Friday 29th is not a happy coalition and augurs ill for the nobitility and bankers as Raphael opines. ( true !) The conjunction also speaks of religious rivalry and battles within the clergy, as well as religious demonstrations, though of course one the the planned demos has now been called off....apparently.
Interesting that the Aries ascendant for the England chart is being emphasised by the huge stellium lead by Neptune, followed by the Moon, Uranus, Venus, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter then the sun---a right royal procession for England's chart!
Enough for now...wishing them good luck and a happy and prosperous life together.
I have predicted, as the leading astro met in the UK, (see amazingweather.wordpress.com and my weather predictions at www.starsite.org.uk where my astrology weather predictions one season ahead is often more accurate than the met ) that the weather for Friday is likely to be breezy, sun with cloud and likelihood of showers by evening.
Actually just for a bit of fun, I put the 29th April transits in against the UK 1801 chart.
ReplyDeleteMost significant features: Pluto exactly square the Ascendant from the 4th and tr Venus exactly on the Descendant.
Powerful stuff!
One has to ask, why would you get married 3-4 days before the New Moon?
ReplyDeleteUnless of course they are already married and this is just the stage show.

Has somebody noticed the strange coincidence with Diana and Charles's marriage? 29th July 1981, exactly 30 years and 3 months ago :) Shortly before the new Moon, with the addition of a solar eclipse 2 days after the wedding of the infamous couple... But they also had Venus debilitated (in Virgo), these two have Venus in Aries, approaching opposition with retrograde Saturn. A short-lived marriage??? Could be but if Kate's birtdata, as given by Barb Heiam-Bjornsen (9th January 1982 at 11:15 Reading,UK) is true (and it seems very likely to me, because she seems very much like an Aries rising, and her natal Moon wold then be in exact opposition to the last solar eclipse in her 10th house!!!) then we can expect her pregnancy very soon - if she's not already pregnant. Actually I'm inclined to think that she is - or will be shortly. Moon in Cancer, opposed by an eclipse, especially if she also rules her 5th house, is just too telling... ;)
ReplyDelete"why would you get married 3-4 days before the New Moon?"
ReplyDeleteIf you're asking this about the Royal couple, then of course, they aren't taking any notice of astrology. Also, April 29th gives six days for the nation to gear up for the General Election, a Friday gives everybody the weekend to recover.... And there will undoubtedly have been several other considerations.
They're still doing better than William's parents who got married on 29th of July (exactly 30 years and 3 months earlier)but on the brink of a solar eclipse ;( Still, Venus is debilitated - as it was on the 29th of July 1981, only worse this time. Anyway, if Kate's supposed birth data (9th January 1982 at 11:15 Reading, according to Barb Heiam-Bjornsen)is correct she's going to have a child soon. Very soon. She might be pregnant already. As a matter of fact, the Aries acendent seems fitting and the last solar eclipse in her 10th more than fitting too :) And note that the eclipse point is exactly opposing her natal Moon (13.5 cancer... I wonder how she got that data, I've asked her on Fb and am waiting for her answer...

ReplyDeleteWell what a magnificent wedding and such organisation! Two people in love and all around the world is in chaos - such a splendid show demonstrates what can be done when the will is there - so why can't we make more of life happy for more people?
ReplyDeleteCurious, I checked my blog which said for the Full Moon of April - we should see love well and truly blooming. The qualities of Venus and Mars are dancing together and their eyes are shining with the glow of Neptunian idealism. Let it rip for love. [Within the month the wedding of the century takes place for William & Kate who seem to be the ideal 'in love' couple. So much for the advice not to start anything important in the final stages of a waning moon]
Thanks for your comments Val. Let us hope that we can move on from the Diana experience. How confident are you of Kate's data Ema - it surely would be fascinating to do this couple's charts.
